Leeds City Council have gone live today(11th February 2010) with their new Public Access.  This is the system which gives access to the planning application information and documents over the internet.  This new system has a lot of improved features including:

  • better searching facilities including a simple search for applications submitted in the last 2 years;
  • freetext searching on the address and on the description;
  • the ability to create and save searches – the results of which can be emailed when they change – eg daily updates of new applications;
  • the ability to track applications – and be emailed when new documents are added or the status of the application changes;
  • integrated weekly lists;
  • an improved system for commenting on applications;
  • improved compliance with accessibility standards and compatibility with other browsers eg Firefox and Safari as well as Internet Explorer.

To comment, save searches and track applications you will need to register and log in to the system
