Crime figures for Adel are only recorded as part of a wider area including Lawnswood, Holt Park and parts of Bramhope and Eccup but crime levels are low representing only 2% of crime in the North West Leeds Division.
265 crimes were recorded in the area in the last 12 months (01/11/07-31/10/08). - around 5 per week

40% of burglaries in Adel were through insecure doors !!!! Always lock up even whenyou are in the garden.
21% of burglaries were against Europrofile locks on double glazed doors and windows. Use additional security
Leave a light on/security lighting when you are out at night.
Mark your property with your post code - pens are cheap and readily available
Cars
Take good care of your car keys - don't leave them visible in the house
Do not leave any property in vehicles
Definitely don’t leave property on show in vehicles - put it in the boot
