Hubert Dalwood Mural at Boddington Hall Print E-mail

The relief was commissioned from Hubert Dalwood for Bodington Hall, the University hall of residence designed by Denis Mason Jones (resident of Adel) of the Leeds firm of Jones and Stocks. The relief, which Dalwood described as 'a composition in terms of the architecture of the building', is placed on the central refectory block, providing a subtle punctuation to the architect's fenestration.

Adel is a wealthy area north of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It is situated between Cookridge, Holt Park, Weetwood and Alwoodley. To the north are the villages of Arthington and Bramhope and the market town of Otley.

Adel History Group....further information

The Adel History Group is very informal - no fees, no set meeting dates, no titles.  The two founders are Val Crompton (0113 225 9142 ) & Ann Lightman (0113 261 1363 ) - the current contacts.  Communication is via Adel Life, Adel Bells and the Adel Association website. Basically we aim to research and communicate Adel Stories.
